Homemade Gluten-Free Italian Breadcrumbs

Ingredients:

  • 10 ozs. (Food processor) ground White GF bread
  • 1/2 cup dried parsley
  • 1/3 cup dried basil
  • 1/3 cup dried oregano
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In small batches, blend bread in a food processor until it resembles fine breadcrumbs.
  • Spread out on sheet pan and place in 350 degree oven. Bake on middle rack for 20-30 mins. Toss every 10 mins in order to prevent burning and facilitate drying out of bread.
  • Place in a large bowl and add in the rest of the ingredients. Mix by hand with a wooden spoon.
  • Store in a large mason jar or an airtight container.
  • Use in any recipe calling for breadcrumbs in a 1-to-1 ratio.
