Fish and Chips

Ingredients

3 ounces of plain flour

1/4 ounce packet easy-blend dried yeast

pinch of sugar

Stir these two together.

2 1/2 ounces of warm milk

2 1/2 ounces of warm water

Gradually add until batter smooth. Allow to stand 45 mins.

Seasoned flour

Dust 4 haddock or cod fillets with seasoned flour and dip into prepared batter.

Heat oil to 375 degrees for fish and 350 degrees for chips. Fry fish for 6-8 minutes until golden. Cut potatoes (waxy potatoes are best) into chips and fry 6-8 minutes.
