Ingredients
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp ground anise
1/2 tsp baking powder
Directions
- Beat the eggs until they are very light and pale yellow in color. Add sugar and best vigorously about 3 minutes.
- Sift the flour together with the ground anise seed and baking powder; add to the egg mixture. Continue beating fir about five minutes.
- Drop the batter by teaspoonfuls onto a well-greased cookie sheet. Leave 1” space between each cookie. Do not cover. Let stand in a warm place overnight to dry.
- The next day: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Bake cookies for 8 minutes.
